About the Position: This position is a military technician position with the 63rd Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site 170, located in Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Plan work schedules Establish deadlines and priorities Assign tasks to employees and make adjustments as necessary Review work for accuracy and compliance with standards Investigate and correct productivity problems for an efficient work environment Identify training needs of employees Provide instruction, direction and guidance to employees Counsel employees on problems and/or complaints and union representation Initiate proposals for disciplinary actions Schedule and approve leave Interview candidates for vacant positions and provide recommendations for selection Develop performance standards

Requirements

  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
  • This position requires a Class A CDL within 180 days of employment.
  • This position requires a medical examination prior to employment.

To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: establishing deadlines and priorities; passing on instructions, and assigning tasks to be performed by subordinates; reviewing work and ensuring shop policies and procedures are being followed; identifying training needs within the shop; and maintaining production report and records. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
