Duties
You will assist in the performance of function such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative functions in connection with accounting systems; to include analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with management and control of resources or funds.
You will perform limited studies or assist higher-graded analyst with full-scale studies.
You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary, and financial information to prepare summaries for use by managers.
You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial duties as required of this position.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing accounting or financial data utilizing automated financial systems to identify discrepancies for an organization.
FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: tracking or reviewing financial information and transactions utilizing automated financial systems for an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
- A Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
- Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree; OR
- An LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled; OR
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-07:
- 1 academic year of graduate level education; OR
- Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement; OR
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
