Duties
As a Maintenance Worker, you will:
Perform various repairs and adjustments on one or all of the multiple boilers and/or chillers and their associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
Perform various minor repairs and maintenance of centrifugal refrigeration units, air compressors, utility distribution and collection systems and their associated auxiliary equipment.
Locate broken, worn or damaged electrical equipment through visual checks or through the use of a small variety of test equipment.
Trace and locate defect to determine the type and extent of repair needed.
Determine when parts and components should be cleaned and reinstalled repaired or replaced.
Install and recognize the cause of faulty equipment and making repairs on a variety of domestic and commercial refrigeration and cooling units and systems.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position.

(6) Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
(7) Knowledge of Materials
