You will serve as a Security Specialist in the AEGIS TECHREP.

Duties

You will serve as an advisor to AEGIS TECHREP in matters pertaining to Information Security, Industrial Security, and Operations Security Program procedures and practices in order to provide for an effective command security program. You will provide expert advice/counsel to command personnel in all aspects of Information Security, Industrial Security, and Operations Security. You will develop and implement specially tailored security requirements and processes to protect classified and controlled unclassified information. You will develop and ensure implementation of comprehensive controls to protect and provide accountability on all classified documents and media. You will provide oversight on annual inspections of all security storage containers in accordance with instructions. You will conduct unannounced inspections during and after normal working hours to ensure compliance with security requirements. You will develop Vulnerability Assessments, OPSEC Risk Assessments and security procedures for unique AEGIS program evolutions conducted at the CSEDS with multiple DOD and contractor participants. You will act as a liaison with the AEGIS TECHREP support contractors and the AEGIS USN, FMS and BMD prime contractor on security matters. You will chair and facilitate OPSEC working groups and provides guidance for security programs under own cognizance.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-02 (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring security programs to ensure compliance with security measures for the security of information, personnel and facilities.
