About the Position: This position is located with the Logistic Center, Natick, Massachusetts.
This position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. See 'Additional Information' section for further guidance.This position is obligated.
Duties
Serve at the installation's on-site quality assurance evaluator and Contractor Office Representative (COR) for the food service dining facility and dining facility attendant services. In addition, you will:
Review dining facility operations including pickup and receipt of rations, food preparation, sanitation, and administration to insure an acceptable level of quality is maintained.
Determine contractor's effectiveness and conformance to contractual requirements.
Certify all aspects of the contractor's performance of dining facility operations for the installation, tenant activities, and customers in the geographic support area.
Serve as the installation's Container Control Officer (COO) which include
Coordination with the Army Intermodal and Distribution Platform Management Office to establish a master list of containers that reside at and move to and from the installation.
Serve as a liaison between the installation and other agencies regarding dining facility contract and container control operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel TDY up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) inspecting food service facilities for compliance with regulations; 2) ensuring food service procedures are being adhered to; 3) assisting with preparing and submitting budget estimates for equipment replacement; and 4) assisting with analyzing cost factors associated with contracted services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Food Service Management, Food Service Cost Controls, and Facility Management, (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
