Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), in Mesa, Arizona.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Ice Air Removal Coordinator (OA), you will perform the following duties:
Provide technical supervision and guidance to ICE Air Removal Coordinators (IARC)
Perform critical operational support to the removal process by providing technical oversight of the removal/transfer travel coordination process via charter and commercial air.
Task specific projects to IARCs and ensures the accuracy of all data provided on written analysis of current or proposed processes
Expeditiously establish schedules and create travel orders that are compliant with all ICE, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) laws and regulations
Provide advice and counsel to workers related to operational and administrative matters

- Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Assists with the transfer and/or removal of detainees via commercial aircraft
Receive commercial travel request submissions from ERO Field Offices, the U.S. Border Patrol, and other agencies.
Ensures timely notifications to foreign governments, and international U.S. government points of contact in the receiving and transit countries for scheduled removal
Performs flight schedule management, manifesting flights, and arranging commercial air removal travel
Monitors airline requirements to ensure that Field Office Travel Coordinators (FOTC) submit required security documentation to airlines as appropriate and confirm airline notification procedures are completed timely.
