About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, G2 Intelligence, Protection and Surety, Directorate, Intelligence Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serves as a Staff Officer/Command Security Manager (CSM) responsible for development, staffing, publication and implementation of organization policies related to Information Security (INFOSEC).
Serves as the Security Awareness, Education, and Training (SETA) Official.
Serves as the assistant Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO), and Personnel Security Official (PERSEC).
Monitors and analyzes broad program areas and program effectiveness relating to security administration.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position is ADP Sensitive III.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required approximately 25% of the time.
- Must be able to acquire and retain a Top Secret clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and access to SCI.

one year of progressively responsible experience at the GG-12 level or equivalent in the federal service, that included working experience in a wide range of Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security and Foreign disclosure duties that demonstrates a working knowledge of the concepts, disciplines, policies, and security programs interrelationships in order to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and/or complex security requirements or problems.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled.
NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
