This SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST position is located in the Qualify Assurance Section of the 129th Rescue Wing's Maintenance Group, and is part of the CA 129 RQW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-12, is to provide management oversight and guidance to the budget formulation and execution process.

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government; this experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas; Experience reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements; Experience reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Undergraduate and Graduate Education with a Major study in: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.
