Serves an Administrative Officer in a Flight Standards Functional Area. Incumbent is responsible for performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization.

Duties

FV-H Level: Applies experience and advanced knowledge and understanding of management principles. practices, methods, and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Provides and/or obtains a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and assists others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Provides, secures, or negotiates for the resources or services needed to manage the office of the assigned organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission. Tracks and analyzes data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsible for coordinating and performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for planning time and assisting others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Responsible for coordinating and accomplishing all administrative tasks in a wide range of administrative and analytical duties. Evaluates and monitors office expenditures and makes sound changes based on trends and analysis, merit and deficiency situations, and known or anticipated program changes. Performs immediate and long range planning and control for organizational services independently anticipating program changes, etc. Coordinates with Human Resources for advice on advisory services as they relate to organizational related functions including pay and leave. and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and manages the training program including initial and recurring. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).

  • Security Requirement: Moderate Risk (5). This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained. Subject to a 5 year period reinvestigation.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:To qualify for this position at the FV-H Level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G or FG/GS-10/11 in the Federal Service.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
