About the position: This is a RPT (part-time) position located at the Outdoor Recreation Center on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Position is guaranteed 20 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.
Duties
Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from tracks, dollies, etc, moves heavy boxes, cartons, or luggage by hand, handtruck, or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbars, and cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and ca11ons where directed. Using a shovel, digs ditches and trenches where a pick is not needed to loosen the dirt, and where grading and sloping is not required; fills holes with dirt and levels bumps and low places, using shovel, hand lumper, and rake.
Runs hand lawnmowers or (domestic type) powered lawnmowers, when this does not require heavy physical effort (for example, on steep grades); clears small trees and bushes, using handsaw, hatchet, or clipper. Moves and arranges furniture as directed; shovels snow from sidewalks; washes and waxes cars and trucks by hand or power buffer. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- This position requires a current state driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: o previous experience or training is required. Must be able to use, control, and clean common handtools, and simple power equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy projects up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Required possession of a valid motor vehicle license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). "This is a drug testing designated position. Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
