These positions are located in the Maintenance Division at Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park.
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately the end of December through the middle of December, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year (approximately 12/14 to 12/28).
Duties
Performs a variety of skilled (journeyman level) maintenance and restoration work related to the mason trade.
Repairs, alterations and construction of masonry structures using a variety of materials including brick, block, stone and concrete.
Repairs concrete footings, culverts and walkways.
Cleans, repairs, and re-points lock walls.
Works with a high degree of precision and accuracy in order to maintain the authenticity and integrity of historic structures and monuments.
