About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0340-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Planning, Programs, & Project Management Division
Duties
Manage the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scope, development, and direction of major contract projects and/or functional programs within the district.
Serve as Program Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned major projects and/or functional programs.
Perform as the project team leader, implement Government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project.
Negotiate and integrate all requirements as appropriate in support of assigned projects into a comprehensive management plan.
Participate in programming decisions affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned projects where customers need this support.
Plan, develop, and establish the strategy for the overall nationwide, regional, and local programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a financial disclosure OGE-450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience managing environmental remediations projects for appropriate hazardous, toxic, and radiological waste (HTRW) and military munitions response program (MMRP) criteria; AND 2) Experience monitoring projects to ensure they are within budget and on schedule; AND 3). Experience establishing project milestones.
