About the Position: Serves as the Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) responsible for the integration, coordination, planning, and monitoring of all services and functions required for deployment and redeployment of individuals and units for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC).
Duties
Plan, coordinate and direct a variety of operational, logistical and training functions related to logistical support for mobilized Individuals and Active, Reserve, and National Guard Units.
Provide advice, assistance, and independently develops plans dealing with procedural and factual aspects of logistical support or portion of more complex plans while serving along or as a team member.
Attend logistics conferences, meetings, seminars, boards and workshops as an advisor, briefer, or functional participant to develop or recommend logistics problems resolutions and new or improved techniques.
Perform a variety of administrative, logistical, and operational functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel, CONUS or OCONUS, may be required up to 25%.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: evaluates proposals for new or changing logistical support to meet mission requirements; determines initial distribution and redistribution of supply stock; and assists with implementing maintenance and supply procedures, inventory control and/or storage space utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
