About the Position: Serves as a Housing Manager located at an Installation Management Command (IMCOM) garrison. Responsible for direct, on-site management, administration and implementation of projects, facilities, or complexes in support of the housing management program(s) Housing Services Office (HSO), Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), Privatized Army Lodging (PAL), and Army Family Housing (AFH) while utilizing enterprise Military Housing (EMH) database.

Duties

Determine requirements and maintain data for new or replacement furniture, appliances, and equipment in accordance with established criteria or authorizations. Serve as member of a team administering on post privatization efforts for the Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) by providing housing inspections. Work as a team member administering the Army Barracks Management Program (Unaccompanied Housing). Administer the off-base housing services program. Responsible for direct, on-site, management administration and implementation of projects, facilities, or complexes, in support of the privatized housing and unaccompanied housing management programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes mediating housing complaints between multiple customers; experience conducting housing inspections for life, health, and safety housing requirements; or providing customer service to clients searching for housing options.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
