About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4GGAA TACOM WARREN.

Duties

Serves as the G2, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence and Security and principal advisor to the Commanding General, U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM). Serves as the TACOM Security Manager responsible for the direction, management, and oversight of all non-Provost Marshal security policies and programs. Serves as the CP-35 Activity Career Program Manager (ACPM) and the TACOM Command focal point and advisor for the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Perform as the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) for TACOM-DTA and holds responsibility for direction, and oversight of all source intelligence support to multi-discipline foreign threats, threats analysis, production, and dissemination. Manage the Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME), Advance Technology Assessment Report (ATAR), and Technology Acquisition Coordination Subcommittee (TACS) Programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single ScopeBackground Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • This position requires some temporary duty travel (TDY) generally not to exceed 15% of normal duty.

Supervision of multi-disciplined security programs including but not limited to: Communications security (COMSEC), Foreign Disclosure (FD), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, Security Education and Training, special security operations (SSO), top secret control, and technology protection (TECHPROT). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Intelligence Staff ManagementManpower & PersonnelTechnical Competence Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
