This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as the Senior Budget Analyst for Public Health Command - Pacific (PHC-P) with a wide variety of duties that include but are not limited to fund control and reprogramming request responsibilities, spend plan preparation and budget execution for the Public Health Command.
Duties
Responsible for daily activities that support overall fund control to include formulation of PHC-P’s multi-million dollar budget which includes the Headquarters elements and six subordinate Activities.
As the Senior Budget Analyst, assigns, distributes and balances daily workload within limits established by the supervisor (Executive Officer) to establish daily priorities.
Serves as the primary Resource Management Advisor to the Commander and Executive Staff to assist in creating programs fund estimates through analysis of plans, goals and objectives for individual programs.
Requirements
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
- This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

- Financial Management Certification Level 2 is required
