Duties

Knowledge of surveying equipment and practices to ensure the quality of work is being done by field crews and office personnel. Coordinate field, office, and contract operations with project managers to improve team effectiveness. Ensure all data produced by the survey team meets the district best practices. Responsible for determining the scope of work and devising the methods/details for completion of assignments. Reviews schedules and plans within the field activities to ensure general instructions are being resolved. Adapt to work crews within a quickly changing environment to prioritize contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Required to travel on temporary duty (TDY) status approximately 30% of the time.
  • Required to lift up to 75 pounds of equipment.

Analyze appropriate methods to prepare survey data for projects; 2. Apply survey principles to evaluate results from field data to meet intended use and 3. Perform technical reviews to provide quality control oversight of Computer Aided Design (CAD). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CartographySurveyingTechnology Application Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
