Duties
Ensures all recreational amenities are available for authorized patrons. Plans, controls, organize and direct the operation and maintenance of buildings, boats, day use area, equipment, dry storage lots and grounds at Lunga Park. Maintains cleanliness and grooming of the grounds, RV storage lots, including camping area, picnic shelters, storage lot, and boat ramp. Assures the activity and the area immediately surrounding the buildings are maintained in a neat and orderly manner, to include minor maintenance and repair responsibilities for equipment and facilities within the activity. Maintains inventory records of equipment assigned to the Lunga Park facility, properly secures all equipment. Manages new property resources and may provide direction on facility renovations and improvements. Recommends and approves additions and revisions to on-going programs and standard operating procedures. Develops techniques in the promotion and publicity of the activity for maximum participation usage. Advises on the growth and re-opening of Lunga Park areas that are currently closed. Provides for the maintenance of a rental fleet of small horsepower engines and self-propelled watercraft. Establishes a boating training and checkout system that ensures that the patrons are qualified to operate rental boats. Trains staff in the safe use of various types of small craft and in the use of chase boats for the emergency safety of stranded MCCS boats. May plan special events at Lunga Park to attract new patrons. Analyzes the history of the park; develops and implements policies and procedures for managing future areas as they begin to open. Work closely with direct supervisor to ensure all rules and regulations are being followed as defined in the Land Use Agreement for Lunga Park. Prepares and submits appropriated and non-appropriated budgets for the personnel management and operation of Lunga Park including annual operating budgets, annual and five-year capital expense budgets, non-appropriated supply, and equipment budgets. Controls expenditures of approved allocation of funds for personnel, supplies, and equipment. Manages government property and may provide direction on facility renovation and improvements. Recommends and approves additions and revisions to on-going programs. Maintains inventory records of equipment assigned to the Lunga Park facility. Ensures patrons are assigned spaces in accordance with their eligibility. Bills patrons with MCCS contracts on monthly basis using rental installment billing program. Follows up with patrons when payments are not cleared. Directs the usage of a Lunga Park Resale Shop. Follows all environmental guidelines in the operation of the gas/ fuel operation. Uses Point of Sale system to maintain inventory and sales records. Completes DAR's, accounting for collected monies from the various activities including supplies sold at the park, boat rentals, purchases, camping and pavilion reservations, and dry storage rentals. Plans, Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Administration, Business Administration or field(s) related to Campground management with two years experience managing a campground or related recreational facility may be substituted for the above qualifications.Four years¿ experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of assigned programs. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is required. Experience working in a recreational facility preferred. Knowledge of a wide range of water safety principles, boat safety procedures, boating operations and maintenance. Ability to use basic tools for minor repair of equipment. Knowledge in primitive camping safety and campground management. Must be certified or the ability to obtain certification with 90 days of hire in CPR/AED/First Aid.
