This position is located at the Business Recreation Division-Whittington High Performance Fitness Center which is apart of Fort Moore Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). Duties

Serves as Facility Assistant in a fitness facility. Works under the direction of the Fitness Facility Manager. Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate. Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Instructs customers and monitors proper and safe usage of equipment, as needed.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.

• Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED; MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
