Duties
- Maintains and repairs stationary and mobile equipment. Mobile equipment types include but are not limited to tractors, graders, cranes, excavators, skid-steer loaders, mobile generators, engine driven pumps, and drill equipment. Stationary equipment includes specialized radial gate hoisting equipment, large vertical turbine pumps, generators, and large and small hydraulicly operated slide gates and valves.
- Ensures optimal operation of equipment by diagnosing mechanical malfunctions, diligently identifying defects and proficiently tuning or replacing/rebuilding parts as necessary.
- Operates a variety of heavy mobile equipment in order to test integrity of repairs.
- Maintains and operates various specialized gates and valves to regulate water as a backup operator at a high hazard dam facility.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment.
- Fabricates parts to repair equipment when parts are no longer available.

Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Failure to provide proof of such license will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position.
