This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-J6.
Duties
Serve as an Executive Assistant to the Director, Endpoint and Customer Services Directorate (DISA J6). Coordinate briefings, conferences, and other meetings involving the Director of J6.
Provide a variety of administrative staff consultant and technical advisory services. Review, edit, and compose correspondence for approval and signature.
Coordinate/organize all aspects of official travel, calendar management, and mail. Review, distribute and suspense correspondence on behalf of the J6 Director.
Provide administrative guidance, policy and procedure interpretation on appropriate execution of taskings and develop strategies for internal and external integration to facilitate the timely execution of taskings.
Manage and control tasking logs and correspondence suspense tracking. Evaluate completed actions for adequacy of subject matter content, compliance with request, and clarity of information.
Perform/direct and coordinate special projects, studies, reports, and briefings. Conduct and prepare reports. Receive, analyze, and task actions from the Director.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: overseeing the execution of services to support the operations of senior leadership; reviewing and analyzing both new and existing policies and procedures; identifying potential problem areas and initiating recommendations; and assisting with the application of applied analytical and evaluation methods in areas of process innovation to approach workforce management.
