This position is a Administrative Support Assistant, GS- 0303-7 working in Sunderland, MA for the R5-Richard Cronin Aquatic Resource Center.

Duties

As a Administrative Support Assistant your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Provides administrative support to assigned offices, including clerical tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and various communications software. Reviews and supports overall budgetary processes and procurement for the assigned offices. The incumbent is the Payroll/Travel coordinator responsible for accomplishing tasks associated with coordinating the assigned staff's payroll and effectively serving as technical staff resource to assigned offices on payroll and travel matters. Provides Human Resource support to the Project Leader/supervisor and provides guidance and assistance to assigned staff/stations in all personnel matters.

Qualifications

Only experience and education obtained by 06/21/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification [GS-07] One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-6 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Examples of experience include: (1) utilizing administrative functions and various word processing and spreadsheet software; (2) coordinating and preparing procurement and purchase requests; (3) budget tracking and reconciliation; (4) preparing/reviewing travel vouchers; (5) serving as a timekeeper using an automated system; maintaining system of records; (6) knowledge of personnel functions and procedures, and preparation and monitoring of personnel actions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i.
