About the Position: R responsible for the management nd execution of installation environmental program. Duties

As a Supervisory Environmental Engineer, you will perform duties to include but not limited to the following: Direct the preparation, compilation, review, analysis, and submission of all program data required for program budget input. Execute the Fort Leavenworth environmental programs which fall under the compliance, preservation, conservation and restorations pillars. Analyze environmental impact of every action or intended action of every installation and tenant activity. Manage the Fort Leavenworth Environmental Performance Assessment System (EPAS), the DA environmental assistance and inspection program designed to accomplish compliance with all environmental laws and regulations. Perform supervisory personnel management responsibilities for the division, to include the structure and position management of four professional, two technical and one administrative personnel subordinates Establish workload priorities and initiates assignments based on the difficulty, complexity, type of work and employee capabilities.

Requirements

  • A Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 is required upon entering the position and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued Driver's License.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
