About the Position: Serves as an Education Services Officer (ESO) for Fort Myer Henderson Hall Virginia for the Army Continuing Education System (ACES) Program, Human Resources Directorate, US Army Garrison Fort Myer, Virginia.

Duties

Serves as an Education Services Officer (ESO) for Fort Myer Henderson Hall for the Army Continuing Education System (ACES) Program. Plan, develop, and execute all needed and regulatory ACES Programs. Provide training programs for eligible personnel. Determine personnel program education needs through Needs assessments, interest inventory surveys, discussions with Commanders and other program means. Directs program needs and support to include counseling, testing laboratories and learning centers. Brief Commanders on status and needs of the Education Program. Coordinate and negotiate with all stakeholders, education institutions and training programs. Supervise and direct staff and managers. Serve as a Contract Officers’ Representative on ACES specific contracts for educational services. Determine the educational need of installation personnel through educational survey. Direct development of courses, curricula and programs to meet installation educational needs. Provide education and vocational assistance and counseling to all military personnel, family members, and other members of a community. Assist personnel in making course and program choices.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• TDY 10% of the time.
• Must successfully complete online APT Test Control Officer Basic Test and online Defense Language Proficiency Test within 30 days of appointment.
• Complete an OGE-450 Financial Disclosure Statement upon appointment and annually thereafter.
• Complete Contracting Officers' Representative Certification and maintain for duration of employment.
