About the Position: The work is usually sedentary with no special physical demands. Work is usually performed in an office or conference room and involves the normal operation hours between 0730-1600. Provides administrative support to the executive staff of the Administration, Nursing, Quality and Safety, and Clinical Services Departments.
Duties
Receive all visitors and telephone calls for the executive staff.
Establish and maintain correspondence files, documents, and personnel files.
Utilize office automation programs for word processing/databases, transmitting electronic mail, and maintaining electronic calendars.
Use various software applications to prepare and format correspondence, reports and other documents.
Review correspondence or other documents for grammatical accuracy, spelling, punctuation, format, and completeness.
Draft documents and routine correspondence.
Maintain and coordinate complete and current calendar of appointments, meetings, conferences, engagements or similar activities.
Provides support in buying, storing and transferring supplies and in documenting transactions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background check.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4.
- This position may be eligible for Situational/Ad-HOC Telework.
- Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Specialized Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following: 1) Performing a variety of administrative support duties in support of a clinic or medical facility; and 2) Composing correspondence; and/or 3) Coordinating meetings, briefings, conferences or travel arrangements; or 4) Maintaining a calendar for scheduling meetings and/or appointments.
