Duties

Responsible for accomplishing the management and disposition of Four Corners Construction Office (FCCO) wide records. Responsible for the maintenance of FCCO inactive office files to include a wide variety of technical records. Confer with FCCO office staff members to resolve records disposition problems and to keep abreast of developments in records disposition in automated data processing and records storage mediums. Review, identify, and evaluate Vital Operating Records and Raw Records for proper classification codes, historical value, and content. Participate in the evaluation of the Vital Records Program and incorporating these records in the local records and commissioner's files. Compile, screen, assemble, and inventory all data and records and determines if each item needs to be shipped to other agencies, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in Washington, D.C. or the Federal Records Center in Denver, CO for storage. Ensure that required material is current and submitted in a timely fashion to the storage facilities.

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume. To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in at least 5 of the following duties: Utilizes software applications to perform electronic file indexing. Experience with hard copy and electronic filing. Electronically and manually searches for records and documents. Prioritizing workload to meet deadlines. Operating office automation equipment, including personal computers, printers, copiers, and scanners. Complies and enters data entry into automated systems. Reviewing documents for accuracy. Provides customer service and resolves issues. OR You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having 4 years above high school. OR You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 06/24/2024.

Education

This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-05 grade level. Applicants must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted. Non-submission may result in being rated not-qualified for the position.

Accreditation: Only education from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education is acceptable to meet education requirements or to substitute for experience, if applicable.
