This position is part of the WAPA-UGP-Upper Great Plains Region. As a Lead Budget Analyst, you will be serves as the Lead Budget Analyst, regional expert and principal advisor to the regional Financial Manager (FM) on finance and budgetary matters, and whose primary purpose is to lead a team of Budget and Financial Program Analysts This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience with the formulation, submission, justification, execution and reporting of annual, multi-year and multi-appropriation budgets for a federal organization; Examples of specialized experience include experience with performing budget formulation and execution activities in accordance with established policies and procedures, preparing narrative and statistical justifications for budget submissions, developing explanations and responses to questions regarding organizational programs and projects, participating in setting program policies, goals, objectives, and priorities, and planning, developing, and executing the organization's budget initiatives. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
