You will serve as a LEAD INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AVIATION SUPPORT DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER ELEC ATTACK WING PAC FLEET.

Duties

You will be responsible for the management and administration of the Supplemental Aviation Spares Support (SASS) inventory management. You will implement allowance changes, and ensuring Technical Directives (TD) are incorporated in a timely manner. You will ensure that new material is on order and excess or obsolete material is promptly removed from the SASS packages. You will review and develop procedures to satisfy new requirements or to implement new regulations or policies emanating from higher echelons of authority or determined to be necessary locally to improve SASS logistics operation. You will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducts necessary training to SASS personnel. You will oversee workload assignments, monitors progress, and adjusts personnel assignments as needed to accommodate changes in workload or scheduled training. You will monitor and report the status and progress of work, ensuring compliance with inventory instructions by reviewing completed tasks. You will provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures for SASS management. You will analyze long-range needs, unusual problems, or unusual questions; and administering entire programs and operations, or phases of large and complex programs and operations.

  • You may be required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing supply operations by utilizing an automated inventory management systems to compile and analyze inventory data and coordinate material procurement to ensure supply or material inventory is available to maintain supply controls. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
