You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY BRANCH at the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will maintain management oversight and be accountable for all shop store and truck stock inventories in accordance with established regulations and procedures. You will monitor all job order numbers and project packages to ensure they are correct and funded properly. You will utilize business applications systems used in a supply inventory management such as MAXIMO, Microsoft Office, MS Project systems for data entry and queries. You will be responsible for daily oversight and management of the NAVFAC Shop Store and warehouse to ensure the shop stores and warehouse are organized, work is accomplished safely and efficiently, and customers are assisted promptly. You will perform physical inventories, physical location audits, wall-to-wall inventories and re-warehousing. You will perform spot checks and cycle counts to determine accuracy of the inventory. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates gains and losses, researches discrepancies, and takes corrective action. You will resolve discrepancies with material orders and services received, arranges for rework, replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective, damaged and/or incorrect material.

• A current Forklift Operator License (certification) based on the particular lift trucks that operators use in the workplace is required.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• Must be able to successfully complete the following training courses within prescribed timeframe: Fork Lift training, OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course
• You will be required to wear safety shoes and eyewear and other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, masks, and hearing protection.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Having experience in receiving, loading, inspection, identification, storage, issue, disposal, reutilization, maintaining files, and inventory of material in warehouses, shop stores and staging areas. 2) Ensuring that inventory in system of record (e.g. Maximo) is kept up to date by inputting changes to include additions, issues, returns and disposal actions. 3) Performing physical inventories, physical location audits, wall-to-wall inventories, and warehousing. 4) Using a variety of procurement processes such as submitting purchase request to buyers, General Service Administration (GSA) Prime Vendor and Fourth Party Logistic (4PL) store. 5) Managing a warehouse and inventories by organizing materials safely and efficiently. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree

OR
