About the Position: Serves as the principal contact to supply items essential for the maintenance and operations that support the United States Army Parachute Team (Golden Knights).
Duties
Perform supply transactions to include contracts to support the unit.
Conduct inventory management procedures to ensure accountability of supplies.
Prepare inventory adjustment reports and electronic Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (eFLIPL) packets in accordance with established procedures.
Conduct spot-checks to determine system improvements.
Inspect equipment to verify it follows standard guidelines of property accountability.
Request Class V (ammunition) for training events as required.
Order non-standard items through purchase requests with the Government Purchase Card (GPC).
Utilize equipment authorization publications i.e. Common Table of Allowances (CTA), Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) to determine authorization.
Ensure all logistics procedures are following applicable Management Control Checklists for inspections.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The position is subject to occasional temporary duty travel (approximately 20%).
- The position is subject to occasional weekend, holiday and/or overtime work.
- The incumbent/applicant will be required to take and successfully pass a physical examination prior to entry into duty.
- This position is subject to the conditions of the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program which requires that a pre-appointment and random drug test be conducted and successfully passed prior to appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing routine supply functions in support of an assigned organization (i.e. vehicle and fuel management, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and storage or disposition of expendable and non-expendable equipment); accounting for items in a web-based property or inventory system; completing supply transactions using a company/organization purchase card; and utilizing procedures to develop supplies and/or inventory reports.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
