Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the SECURITY OFFICER, GS-0080-12, is to serve as the principal advisor to the Wing Commander as the Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) and reports to the Mission Support Group Commander as the Defense Force Commander (DFC) with responsibility over the SFS; develops, implements, and manages the wing law enforcement, physical security, wing security, and Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) programs.

General Experience: Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level, as cited on page two. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. SECURITY OFFICER, GS-0080-12: Must have 36 months experience in the Security career field or intelligence career field to include technical training schools and drill-status working experience; Experience in developing, implementing, executing, and managing guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels of security controls; Experience in the Wing's Security Programs; Experienced in managing and supervising the administrative and technical aspects of the Security Forces Squadron; Experienced in managing resources, funding, and budget requirements that support Security Forces programs and services; Experiences involved balancing Information Protection program requirements and providing advice, guidance, and direction on a wide variety of the program's policies and employee performance administrative issue; Experienced in structuring assignments to create effective and efficient procedures that resulted in measuring improved task processes.
