You will serve as a SUPERVISORY VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the CREATIVE PRODUCTION AND VISUAL INFORMATION DEPARTMENT of NVRECRUITNGCMD.

Duties

You will supervise the planning, design and production of graphics and still/video products that support varied recruiting promotional materials and publications. You will provide technical assistance, advice and counsel to departments on graphic and visual information matters. You will prepare or coordinate the preparation of prototype designs for new publications and support material to meet changing field requirements. You will supervise editing and filing of all new photography generated by photo shoots into the division photo library. You will coordinate work and provide art direction to contract design studios. You will review layouts of graphic projects and forward for approval to the Department Heads. You will evaluate the performance of subordinates, interview and select candidates for positions, mange time sheets and approve leave, and recommend disciplinary measures.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of contemporary graphic and visual information techniques and methods (e.g., typography, photography, color harmony, art work, photo-mechanical techniques) to determine best approach for projects;2) Utilizing project management skills by managing visual information projects from concept to production; 3) Solving complex problems related to visual information production and quality control; and 4) Leading creative strategy meetings to provide guidance and recommend ideas to team members on the planning, design and production of graphics.
