As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.AAM-800 is responsible for oversight of the aviation industry's compliance with the drug and alcohol testing regulations (14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40).

Duties

The Center Manager assists the Division Director, Deputy Director, Branch Managers and others in planning, management, control of the Division's activities, accomplishing the Division's goals, monitoring correspondence (including the review and coordination to ensure that deadlines are met), acting as a neutral union liaison, as well as fulfilling requests from other elements of AAM (i.e. business plans, emergency preparedness, etc.). Directs the work of subordinate employees and Supervisory Team Coordinators (STCs) within a center. The managerial duties affect center employees and supervisors, and the duties include planning; communicating the organization's vision and objectives; setting priorities, assigning responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities and/or leadership skills; approving leave; and taking, recommending, or approving corrective actions, as appropriate.

  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY FOR THE FV-K (FG/GS 15) Level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS 14) Level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience managing a diverse workforce and/or leading others, including planning and assigning work, project management, decision making, improving and controlling performance, selecting employees, and promoting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), human relations, and employee participation; managing and providing oversight in the programs responsible for Drug and Alcohol Compliance and Enforcement; experience providing oversight for, and/or fulfilling requests from various elements of AAM.ANDQUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF): A well-qualified candidate will have experience in applying Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 120 and Title 49 CFR Part 40, drug and alcohol enforcement programs within their resume.Applicants should provide examples of specialized experience in their work history.
