As a Client Planning Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising a staff of planning managers performing planning management, requirements development and workplace solutions.Location of position: The position is located in the Great Lakes Region, Region 5, Real Estate Division. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

Acts as a spokesperson for resolving problems of a critical or controversial nature. Meets customer needs in a timely and effective manner. Communicates effectively with client agencies and the contract vendors. Establishes and manages professional services-supported projects. Maintains liaison with client agency officials and contractors to discuss technical and project management issues. Reviews and evaluates contractor-prepared deliverables. Responds to requests from organizational elements of GSA and other external agencies for programming, funding, or scheduling information. Prepares or coordinates the development of intermediate and final estimates from construction documents. Prepares progress and other reports detailing such information as status of work on projects in relation to customer portfolio planning, strategic requirements gathering, impact on timely replacement or right-sizing of the portfolio. Works closely with client planning managers to define project scope, tasks to be performed, deliverables, and schedule. Works with appropriate Real Estate Division transaction management branches to develop and implement client agency needs from pre-planning phase through occupancy. Identifies requirements (e.g., client project agreements) for new or revised guide specifications to be developed by professional service contracts or in-hours personnel. Provides workplace solutionssupport.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
  • Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

Qualifications

For each job on your resume, provide: the exact dates you held  each job (from month/year to month/year) number of hours per week you worked (if part time).     If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume.For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409 per year.  Salary will be determined on location.If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing strategic account management in relation to workspace/real estate needs leading cross-divisional teams that included strategic planning, operations management, business development, requirements development and service delivery. Technical expertise is required to emphasize your account management experience in one or more of the following: real estate, strategic planning, space requirements analysis, construction, financial management, project management, acquisition or organizational development services. Experience communicating with internal and external customers to provide technical information and analysis of strategic and project level requirements. Experience must also have demonstrated customer relationship management and support to manage programs and projects.
