About the position: This position will be assigned to the Dive, located in Goose Creek SC, Naval Weapons Station.
The work schedule will be determined by the needs of the facility and does include nights and weekends.
Duties
Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and assistant manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations, and established procedures are followed.
Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. On a regular, recurring basis, leads the work of others and ensures that work assignments are accomplished. A working leader, as a member of work group, also performs nonsupervisory work, usually of the same kind and level as that done by the group led.
A leader relays instructions from supervisor to other workers, gets work started, sets the work place; demonstrates proper work methods, ensures tools and materials are available; obtains information and decision from supervisor on problems; checks work in progress and upon completion for compliance with supervisor's instructions; ensures safety, security, and housekeeping rules are followed; reports work status to supervisor; answers questions on work operations, procedures, policies, directives, and instructions. Submits recommended work schedules for the Club Operations Assistants to the Manager for approval based on functional needs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, and retail operation. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods.
Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other club employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations.
Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. The applicant must have experience which demonstrated the ability: to explain or demonstrate how to do work; to follow oral and/or written instructions; to determine tools, material and personnel required to perform tasks; to evaluate work being performed, identify problems, and obtain required information/decisions from supervisor; to communicate with coworkers and supervisor.
Satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check (NAC) is required. Requires satisfactory completion to a pre-employment physical and food handler's certification.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position DOES NOT allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
