You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER for NMCPAC EAD UNIT GUAM.

Duties
You will maintain an accurate inventory of assets; utilize associated automated information systems; inspect and evaluate work, materials, equipment, written procedures, and references.
You will determine the location within storage facilities as well as proper stowage of cargo within vessels in accordance with the load plan.
You will ensure that assets transported and stored/stowed in magazines, warehouses, outside storage, and vessels are in accordance with drawings, and safety/fire/security regulations governing explosive compatibility, and hazard classifications.
You will stage rigged ordnance for the rigger in charge which requires basic knowledge of established trade practices and techniques to select and install weight handling gear.
You will offload and on load ordnance materials from trucks, vessels, and other conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders, and stacker cranes.
You will unitize, palletize, package, mark, and label in accordance with standard safety, material movement, and packing procedures and requirements.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoe continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to comply with the ordnance provision of the Qualification and Certification (Qual/Cert) program within 1 year of the hire and maintain Qualification and Certification.
- You must have normal hearing and vision (correction permitted) including ability to distinguish basic colors.
- You will be required to Operate forklift up to 10K pounds for WG-05 and operate forklift for more than 10K pounds for WG-06.
- You will be required to operate a motor vehicle having a gross vehicle weight of 10K up to 32K pounds.

WG-05: I have the ability to perform common tasks including lifting, moving, positioning and loading a variety of large and heavy ordnance.
WG-06: I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including storing, segregating, handling, preparing, and shipping ordnance material.
