About the Position: Serves as a Lead Supply Management Specialist, Organization Hand Receipt/Asset Manager, responsible for the property management of specialized Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS) within the Training Support Center (TSC).
Duties
This is a PERMANENT Lead Supply Management Specialist position with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security (DPTMS) Training Division Support Branch located at Fort Jackson, SC.
Serve as a Lead Supply Management Specialist, Organization Hand Receipt/Asset Manager, responsible for the property management of specialized Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS) within the Training Support Center (TSC).
The incumbent distributes and balance the workload among employees.
Maintain hand receipts and establishes and maintain a schedule of annual inventories of the TDA Property.
Analyze automatic data processing systems for accounting to determine what is required by governing regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License to operate a forklift within 6 months of employment.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid license to operate up to 5-ton commercial vehicles with air brakes within 6 months of employment.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Employee accepts assigned government property from the accountable officer on hand receipt and exercises reasonable and prudent actions to ensure proper use, care, custody, and safekeeping of that property.
- 25% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is a requirement. Some overnight travel may be required,normally not to exceed two weeks in duration. Some travel may involve field conditions supporting military field training exercises.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) analyzing and evaluating logistical data; (2) providing recommendations and guidance within property management programs and policies; (3) reviewing and resolving requisition and accountability property accounting processes using data processing systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
