This position provides administrative and clinical services for the Kyle Behavioral Health Clinic of the Pine Ridge Service Unit (PRSU)'s Behavioral Health Service. The incumbent will take a leadership role in planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating a comprehensive mental health program for the clinic, as well as modeling top level clinical expertise in the treatment of client/patients. The incumbent provides emergency on-call duties as assigned.

Duties

Provides services to individual, and family therapy, psychological testing and evaluation, crisis, intervention, community consultation, outpatient services, consultative psychiatric and psychological services. Provides intensive clinical practice consisting of professional judgment and the ability to use a wide range of psychological skills. Provides for the overall training, development and supervision of Behavioral Health Department staff. Plans and assigns work to BH staff based on PRSU priorities and capabilities of employees. Evaluates BH staff work performance. The Clinical Psychologist carries full professional responsibility for cases representing a wide range of psychosocial, cultural and environment problems, the work is complex and changes continuously, depending on the situation and clients risk/needs.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): OPM Link: Psychology Series 0180 (opm.gov) In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience providing administrative supervision for behavioral health staff and clinical supervision for appropriate staff to ensure compliance with accrediting bodies; providing psychological care and consultation services to patients while establishing behavioral health standards of care as a senior clinician; providing a wide range of psychological testing, evaluation and clinical services; providing leadership in the development of policies and procedures, related to outpatient psychiatric services. Selective Placement Factor: Must possess a current, unrestricted U.S. State license as a Psychologist. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
