About the Position: Serves as a Assistant SHARP Manager (SAR WF) Army Brigades and works under the supervision of the SHARP Program Manager Provides advocacy and educational services to service members, family members, and DoD civilians. Position is located at Army Commands (ACOMs). Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs) and select Direct Reposting Units (DRUs) located at Ft. Eustis, VA.

Duties

Conducts SHARP program management functions and supports activities. Assist the SHARP Program Manager (PM) with updating Army wide policies, standard operating procedures (SOP), and supports the review of subordinate echelon equivalent SOPs for conformance to policy. Assist the SHARP PM with strategic planning and policy development coordination of action plans, assistance to Army units, and issuance of analyses for the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program. Conducts prevention activities and coordinates or assists higher graded staff with the Prevention Campaign, and Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) activities under the SHARP Program. Amends sexual harassment and sexual assault policy for Command staff and coordinates these statements with the servicing staff judge advocate or legal advisor before providing to the Commander. Manages the organization’s Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Assistance Line.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Background checks against all records as required by law, OPM, DOD and Army policy and regulation will be conducted, prior to entering on duty in the position IAW governing regulations.
  • Minimum of Tier 3 background investigation
  • State Criminal History Repository Check is required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must complete all required SHARP courses, obtain D_SAACP certification within 6 months of appointment
  • May require 25% TDY
  • Required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges and/or convictions of any offenses to their supervisors.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical CompetenceTechnical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
