About the Position: About the Position: This position is located at the South Florida Operations Office of the Jacksonville District in Clewiston, Florida. Clewiston, historically known as America's Sweetest Town, was incorporated in 1925 and occupies 4.57 square miles. Clewiston is centrally located in south Florida about 60 miles east of Fort Myers on the Gulf of Mexico and 60 miles west of Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
Duties
Makes sound, well informed, and objective decisions; perceive the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations to accomplish organization goals; cause change
Determine objectives and strategies; coordinates with other parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors and evaluates the progress and outcomes of operational plans; anticipates potential threats or opportunities.
Identifies and analyzes problems; uses sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; finds alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgements.
Plans, distributes, coordinates, and monitors work assignments of others
Evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance; ensures that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)
