As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is located in the Air Traffic Org. (ATO), Mgmt services Unit, People services Directorate, Field Technical Requirements & Forecasting group.
Duties
As the Air Traffic Services Team Manager (AJG-P21), he/she is responsible for providing accurate and timely recommendations with regard to recruitment, movement and hiring of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) air traffic controllers (ATC). Provides direction, technical expertise, analysis, guidance and agency-wide leadership for the ATC program on a wide range of highly complex issues associated with selection, placement and movement of air traffic controllers. He/she uses experience applying program/project management principles to direct the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for multiple organizational units, projects or programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a major subdivision principle expert for the development of workable solutions for unanticipated situations adversely affecting operationally critical systems of the National Airspace System (NAS).
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14/15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:-Experience interpreting and applying the FAA Air Traffic Training directives regarding the roles and responsibilities of air traffic facilities-Experience building cross organization relationships to include various organizations with competing priorities to effectively manage and complete projectsAND-Experience preparing products that are suitable to an executive audience highlighting key program metrics.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
