This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. Positions in the Cyber Excepted Service are positions necessary to carry out and support the mission of the United States Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-RS12.
Duties
Develop, analyze, evaluate, advise, and provide recommendations on Cyberspace Operations.
Supports crisis action planning by providing situational information environment awareness with a primary focus on contingency operations.
Conducts analysis of cyberspace events to delineate cyber tactics, techniques and procedures, assessment of impact to current and future operations.
Directly assists the Operational Planning Team (OPT)/CAT program lead in the performance of all initial assessments and responsible for and oversees CAT member recall.
Performs assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.

- Top Secret/ SCI security clearance required.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising, and providing recommendations on all facets of the Cyberspace Operations program.

Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GG-12 grade level.
