Duties
Serves as a key customer facing point of contact in the Order Fulfillment/planning support process specifically in the area of aeronautical repairable Component, aircraft, or engine material in “Awaiting Parts” (AWP) status.
Provides analytical and advisory information on the effectiveness and efficiency of the repairable Component, aircraft, or engine AWP management.
Provides assistance to Material management/planning and support personnel to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
Monitors the supply chain actions performed by Material management/planning and support personnel in order to provide effective/efficient material management support for assigned production efforts.
Maintains cross-agency relationships and monitors cross-agency sources of supply to ensure assets are available for issue when required and to alleviate material work stoppages.
Serves as customer advocate and liaison for coordination of material supportability issues.

Qualifications
To qualify for a General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:Specialized Experience:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Overseeing actions to resolve customer orders and support problems
Planning, scheduling and conducting studies to identify and recommend ways to improve the Order Fulfillment/planning support process
Developing and implementing supply policy, procedures, techniques and methods
Evaluating customer needs to identify and recommend proactive solutions for meeting customer mission requirements
Tracking statistical and narrative data pertaining to AWP management
Experience in reconciling complex supply chain accountability issues

Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
