Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level defined as executing administrative processes in an office environment; and prioritizing tasks and managing multiple priorities;
1 full year of graduate level education; or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition); the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
equivalent combination of education and experience.
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as coordinating and evaluating a range of administrative services for an organization; interpreting and applying administrative procedures, regulations, and processes; and serving as the point of contact for information for the administrative support personnel who service the organization;
master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of administrative rules, regulations, and policies.
Skill in conducting analyses of administrative functions, work processes, and numerous and/or varied projects.
Skill in oral communication.
Ability to direct a comprehensive support program by providing services necessary to the operation of the organization.
Knowledge of procurement, travel, and property management in order to monitor a program and provide the services necessary toward the operation of the organization.
Skill in written communication.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
