This position is located within the executive department at the Fort Thompson Health Center in Fort Thompson, SD.
The purpose of this position is to provide the complete range of clerical and administrative support services and to provide administrative assistance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Duties
Works as the Background Investigation Coordinator for the facility
Responsible for requesting personnel action via HR systems.
Serves as executive assistant to the CEO and primary executive managers responsible for direction and operation of the Health Center.
Serve as thr timekeeper for the administrative and clinical services staff.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-5: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level AND/OR four (4) years above high school.
GS-6: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level.
GS-7: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Examples of Specialized Experience:
GS-5: Compile, organize, and track data; data entry; compose correspondence and reports; managing electronic calendars; serves as Point of Contact for an organizational unit.
GS-6: In addition to the experience listed for the GS-05; performing technical administrative tasks in the areas of correspondence management, office automation, data collection and tracking information; managing calendars and meetings schedules for higher level staff.
GS-7: In addition to the experience listed for the GS-06, performing specialized office tasks in support of a unit including screening training requests and ordering supplies through official channels.
Proficiency Requirement - In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants must meet typing proficiency of 40 words per minute typing speed.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
