You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the HEADQUARTERS AND SERVICE BATTALION of HQTSBATTALION.

Duties

You will serve as a facilities manager providing support for eight buildings You will exercise responsibility for maintenance, space allocation, utilization, building alterations, and budget development and execution. You will manage an integrated program of repair and preventative maintenance to facilities. You will be responsible for the buildings space allocation, utilization, and management of the key control program. You will analyze current space assignment standards and recommend reallocations to obtain optimum utilization based upon personnel and program changes. You will coordinate and periodically review building emergency programs to include fire and threatcon evacuation programs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-11: Assist in budget development and execution for facilities maintenance, management and alteration programs with ability to analyze projects to advise the most efficient and economical plan for completion. GS-09: Assist in program budget development with additional experience with the Marine Corp and Department of Defense (DOD) facility standards and regulations for maintenance, space allocation, and building utilization/alterations. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
