You will serve as a Performance Assessment Representative in the Public Works Department of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic.

Duties

You will analyze contractor's work to identify and recommend corrective action to avoid possible issues (e.g., delays, claims, inefficient performance). You will discuss contract modification issues (e.g., funding, tasking, manpower) with contractors and agency or activity personnel. You will determine if the correct deliverables were provided and invoiced by contractors. You will conduct follow up assessment to ensure deficiency corrections have been applied. You will compile written reports to provide status or project updates.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Reviewing contract specifications for compatibility with the administration of performance assessment methods and procedures; 2) Preparing performance assessment plans; 3) Assessing contractor performance on a various types of contracts to confirm contractor performance meets contract specifications; 4) Assuring adequacy of material or equipment specifications; 5) Recommending variations in standard methods and procedures to meet unusual problem or situations; 6) Preparing reports with findings and recommendations by conducting inspections of contractor performance and assessments; And 7)effectively interfacing with service contractors to communicate service concerns and resolution, while maintaining good working relationships. **NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
