About the Position: This position is located in the Headquarters, Maneuver Test Directorate, United States Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC), Fort Cavazos Texas and is responsible for providing administrative management functions. (merit)
Duties
Provides advice and assistance to directorate leadership on matters of management.
Liaison for administrative matters within the directorate, Command staff, higher headquarters, and other government agencies.
Conduct independent studies and evaluations and for providing recommendations and advice to aid in the decision-making process by management.
Maintains the directorate’s personnel roster and provides daily status reports.
Provides reoccurring situation reports and status updates to leadership.
Serves as the Timekeeper in the Automated Time Attendance and Production System.
Serves as the focal point for identifying ATEC/USAOTC policies/procedures and regulations for travel and resolving issues with authorizations and vouchers in the Defense Travel System.
Assigns, tracks, and reports on the completion of mandatory training requirements and certifications.
Identifies and resolves problems relating to administrative policies and procedures.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH01 OR equivalent grade level (GS -04) which includes: 1.) Plans, prepares, and executes administrative management functions. 2.) Provides advice and assistance to directorate leadership on matters of civilian and military management.3.) Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures. 4.) Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of computer software to include windows and windows-based software.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
