The Lead Program Support Assistant position provides a full range of administrative and clerical support to the Virtual and Connected Health programs. Connected Health and Virtual Health serve a variety of Veteran needs including My HealtheVet (MHV), referral care management, VA mobile apps, home telehealth, video telehealth, and several other connected care modalities.
Duties
Duties of the position include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the workload distribution and balance of two GS-06 level Program Support Assistants.
Ensures that assignments are carried out and work is disseminated appropriately, notifying supervisor of any backlog and/or performance issues.
Maintains workload and productivity records to ensure timeliness and accuracy in completion of work assignments, providing status updates and estimates on expected time of completion, and preparing production reports.
Reviews work for adherence to regulations, policies, procedures and methods, amending or rejecting work not meeting established standards.
Keeps current on policies, procedures, and directives that impact the administrative and clerical aspects of the Virtual and Connected Health programs to answer questions and seek guidance or decisions from supervisor on administrative issues and problems that need clarification.
Instructs employees and provides on the job training.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/07/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Leading peers and guiding others in work, training and providing direction; Collect, compile, and/or track data and statistical information; Organize data, preparing a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring correspondence; Maintain office files and records, and prepare, execute, and/or track program specific information; Communicate with internal and external customers.
