You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Department of PMRF BARKING SANDS SEC DET.

Duties

You will analyze operational security directives or policies to identify action items (e.g. vulnerabilities, threats, safeguards). You will supervise security staff and provide work assignments in terms of defined missions and functions to support security programs. You will review all facility projects to confirm Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism, and Force Protection measures and costs are identified in facility cost estimates. You will resolve Force Protection conflicts with the command's policy and the security program's objectives. You will develop Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection and emergency management directives to implement established policies. You will conduct a Vulnerability Assessment (VA) in conjunction with other Anti-Terrorism Working Group members.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Use knowledge of the wide range of Navy security concepts, principles, techniques, and practices in order to independently review, plan, and evaluate security programs and resolve complex security issues; 2) Interprets broad policy and guidance, determines potential impact on the organization and develops short- and long-range plans to ensure compliance with legislation, governing instructions, policies and standards; and 3) Supervise a security staff to include developing performance standards, training, disciplinary issues and EEO.
